The KR Group welcomes Amanda Jewell to its operations team to fill a new position.
Amanda started in February 2020 as a purchasing assistant, and she places and tracks orders and assists with returns.
“As our company has grown, so have our back office operation needs, and we are pleased to have Amanda on board,” said The KR Group Partner and CTO Braden Bolkema. “Her quick and effective ramp-up has already enabled other members of our team to step further into their focus areas, and we are excited to have one more piece of the puzzle in place.”
Amanda comes to The KR Group with previous technology service experience at TechData, one of The KR Group’s distribution partners.
“I had a chance to work with The KR Group during my time at TechData and thought everyone was so nice,” Amanda said.
Amanda spent about a year working at TechData’s Florida office, but she is a Michigan native and grew up in Greenville.
After living in Florida for a couple of years, she and her husband decided to come back to Michigan and spend time closer to her family.
Not long after she returned to Michigan, The KR Group advertised for the purchasing assistant position.
“When I heard there was an opening, I immediately expressed an interest,” Amanda said.
Working as The KR Group’s purchasing assistant, Amanda has enjoyed not only her job but also the laid back environment, and how friendly her coworkers are.
But overall, she enjoys being back in West Michigan.
“I enjoy the country life of quiet back roads and being outdoors,” she said. “I enjoy not having a chaotic commute to work and being able to see the beautiful countryside on my way in.”
During her free time, Amanda enjoys baking and spending time with her husband, daughter, and pets.
Amanda started working from The KR Group’s Grand Rapids office but is currently working from home.
