As you’ve researched what InformaCast can offer your business, ideally, you’ve answered some of your top questions.
But now is the moment of truth, and you’re ready to see if InformaCast will fit into your IT budget.
When The KR Group has helped organizations purchase and implement InformaCast, it’s generally been received as a cost-effective solution.
So how much can you expect to spend? Here is all you need to know about the cost of InformaCast:
- Buying licenses through Cisco vs. Singlewire
- Prices for different license tiers
- Budgeting for other solutions
Keep in mind that these prices are estimates based on current vendor information and recent purchases. As always, you’ll want to work with your IT consultant to determine the most accurate cost for your organization.
Price Varies Based on How You Purchase InformaCast
Singlewire is part of Cisco’s Solutions Plus Program, which means they’re an official authorized software partner.
As a Solutions Plus Partner, you can order InformaCast from Cisco. And, of course, you can still purchase directly from Singlewire as well.
At first look, pricing looks slightly different based on how you buy your licenses.
Via the Solutions Plus Program, Cisco partners require you to purchase a minimum of 250 seats. (A seat is any device you plan on using to broadcast an InformaCast message.) But through Singlewire, you’re able to purchase licenses in 50-seat packs.
As a result, the minimum price differs depending on how you buy InformaCast.
Price for Different Subscription Tiers
Your InformaCast subscription cost also varies depending on which licenses you choose, which you’ll read more about in the next section.
InformaCast has three different license levels beyond basic paging to meet your mass notification needs.
You can mix and match these options to find the ideal fit for your organization. Your choices and their prices include:
InformaCast Advanced
With this option, you can deliver text and audio notifications to IP phones, IP speakers, desktop computers, and digital signage to grab people’s attention, so they take steps to get out of harm’s way.
Through Cisco, Advanced licenses cost $55 per month for 50 seats.
Remember that you’ll need to purchase a minimum of 250 licenses, so your lowest entry point to InformaCast through Cisco is $275 per month.
If you purchase directly from Singlewire, you can buy Advanced licenses in 50-packs. A single 50-seat license set costs $112 per month. As you increase the number of licenses you need, the price scales down for each 50 pack.
For example, if you need 20 packs of 50 Advanced licenses (1,000 total), each set will cost $14 per month.
InformaCast Mobile
With this license, you can send SMS text messages, push notifications, and emails to your users’ mobile devices to let them know of urgent situations that affect them.
In most cases, this license type is purchased as an add-on to InformaCast Advanced.
So when you purchase Mobile licenses through Cisco, you don’t have to purchase a minimum of 250 licenses as long as you have met the user count with your Advanced licenses.
You’ll spend $35 per 50 users per month on this license option.
InformaCast Fusion
Fusion is the most comprehensive option for InformaCast licensing.
With this option, you can send notifications through IP phones, IP speakers, desktop computers, digital signage, mobile devices, and more. Additionally, all of this is done in a single interface and can take the form of text, audio, or images.
If you want to use the InformaCast iOS or Android app, you’ll need the Mobile or Fusion license. However, most customers find purchasing Fusion licenses more cost-effective than supplemental mobile licenses.
When it comes to features, Fusion has all the capabilities of combined Advanced and Mobile licenses but costs less than the two license types together.
Through Cisco, InformaCast Fusion licenses cost $67 per month for 50 licenses. This means if you plan on purchasing all Fusion licenses, you’ll need to spend a minimum of $335.
Again, Singlewire doesn’t have the same minimum license requirement as Cisco, so there is a lower cost entry for Fusion licenses.
You can buy a single 50-seat Fusion license set for $112, and like the Advanced licenses, the price scales down as you increase the number of licenses you purchase.
Budgeting for Other Mass Notification Solutions
Your InformaCast licenses are certainly crucial to getting your mass notification system to work.
When you think about the total cost, you also need to consider components other than the licenses.
How do you plan on broadcasting your notification messages? In some cases, you might need to purchase new IP speakers, strobes, panic buttons, etc.
And as you add more devices, you need to consider if your IT environment needs any upgrades to accommodate the new solutions. For example, if you significantly increase the number of ports you need, you might need to budget for new switches.
InformaCast and Your Budget
When you think about the cost of your mass notification needs, InformaCast is a valuable option.
Advanced licenses cost $55 per month for 50 users, which allow you to deliver text and audio notifications to IP phones, IP speakers, desktop computers, and digital signage.
If you’re looking for a license with more capabilities, Fusion licenses cost $67 per month for 50 users, and you can send alerts over mobile devices and applications.
Before you sign off on InformaCast licenses, you’ll also want to double-check if your infrastructure and devices support your new notification solution.
