Cisco’s Small & Midmarket Business Advisory Board serves as a conduit to align Cisco leadership with some of North America’s most successful partners. Members meet once a year over a two-year term to foster discussions about products, solutions, services, marketing tools, new initiatives, channel operations, and more. I recently returned from my second year serving on this board and was thrilled with what Cisco is doing in many areas.
Although I am under an NDA and cannot share specific information from the presentations, there are phenomenal options heading into the market across all product lines! Cisco has always been known for commanding the best and its ability to focus on the biggest companies. It was refreshing to see that they are taking the big ideas for enterprise and continuing to provide ways to make it consumable into small and midmarket business segments.
I had the opportunity to be partnered with Paul Barbosa, Sr. Director of Security Sales, U.S. Commercial during our golf excursion. Neither of us is much of a golfer but we shared great conversation and a lot of laughs at my expense. I shall redouble my efforts to be a better golfer but that is a story for a different blog post. During his presentation Paul shared interesting ideas and reinforced Cisco as a heavyweight champion since becoming active in security.
