The KR Group’s 2021 in Review

As the year closes, we find ourselves reflecting on the last 12 months for The KR Group, our vendors, and our customers.KR Group 2021 Review

The first thing that comes to mind is our gratitude for our team; we couldn’t do what we do for our customers without our staff.

The hard work of our employees has been constant, even through the changes and challenges in the past year. And of course, they are paramount for our plans to continue taking the complexity out of IT in 2022.

We also saw a shift in several of our supply chain partnerships as mergers and acquisitions were consistent within the IT ecosystem. We are excited for several of these evolved organizations and how they will bring more meaningful value to our customers.

Last but certainly not least we want to thank our customers. The trust and confidence that you have in our team truly make it a pleasure to work with you.

Recent Changes at The KR Group

In the face of many organizations downsizing and reviewing remote work, office attendance, and hybrid arrangements, The KR Group has moved its primary office in Grand Rapids.

KR Group 2021 ReviewIn October, we expanded to Suite 300 in the Riverview Center. With this, we doubled the size of the previous space. It includes multiple conference rooms, additional private offices, and plenty of natural light.

We knew we needed to double down our efforts to foster support for all our team members after the last couple of years have challenged many of our company norms.

As we looked at our mindset for 2022, we want to reinvigorate The KR Group’s culture. The new office space allows us one location to gather the entire company and room to add employees in the new year.

At the same time, we’re keeping our lakeshore presence with our Spring Lake office to continue providing timely service for our lakeshore customers.

Challenges The KR Group Faced

One of the biggest obstacles faced in 2021 was excessive shipping delays.

With some technology seeing delays as much as 300 days it required us to be flexible and creative while still meeting customers’ expectations. This means planning for ample lead time and working with customers to understand their IT goals several months ahead.

New Services and Partnerships

KR Group 2021 ReviewLast year had many notable security vulnerabilities that impacted organizations across industries, including the SolarWinds breach, the Kaseya attack, and most recently, the Log4J vulnerability.

As a result, security continues to be in a constant state of change. Even with the top tools, techniques, and state-of-the-art capabilities, it will be imperative to continue evolving with the threat landscape.

One area where we will spend our time is educating end-users about what security risks to look for and what practices to avoid.

Outside of security, The KR Group entered a strategic partnership with TCG. This relationship gives us the ability to offer more solutions and scale services for a variety of customers.

Additionally, through TCG, we can streamline the process of finding the right services for your organization; the discovery process that used to take us weeks to complete is now fulfilled in hours.

Looking Ahead to 2022

KR Group 2021 ReviewAnd as we approach the new year, we’re excited about the changes, new solutions, and even the challenges that lie ahead.

We are excited about our current plans to provide more solutions for managed IT services and infrastructure clients to support the ever-increasing dependence on technology. This includes looking at best-in-class security options and IT infrastructure options that are affordable and scalable.

We expect 2022 to be another great year for The KR Group and our customers, and we look forward to sharing it with you.
